I am writing to advise you that I am currently recovering from a cardiac arrest suffered recently.

Had it not been for my son's, Charlie, swift action to carry out CPR on me whilst contacting the emergency services and awaiting the arrival of an air ambulance, I would not be in a position to be sending this email!

I am so, so proud of my son and he has only now explained that he remembers doing an after school activity organised by the school with a retired or serving military man who taught all the kids how to perform CPR.

I am LIVING proof it worked !

I know it's so difficult in these times to arrange such outside activities but my own experience demonstrates they are so important and of great influence on the kids.
